For non-Dell OEM memory Crucial is recommended as it is guaranteed to work in a Dell. Other brands it is hit or miss, except DO NOT use Kingston Value RAM (KVR). Which causes major issues if the other stick has ICs that scale positively with voltage (most ICs) - I've seen this once with two kits even at 3200 XMP, with one stick having 4Gb AFR and the other with 8Gb Micron Rev.B I think (the crappy Rev.B).
