WebOct 31, 2024 · The instruction manual specifies that I need a 'signal vehicle D+' to connect into the B2B charger. This signal apparently comes right out of the alternator, but neither by reading the handbook nor by opening the bonnet and looking at the alternator could I find out how to get this signal. WebDec 12, 2013 · It is almost definitely the alt if that light is on. The only other possibility is a short to ground on the blue D+ wire at the alternator. That light can only come on (assuming no wiring faults on the blue wire) if it is grounding through the alternator. WebMay 5, 2013 · So I use the B+(red/white) wire from the alternator connect to the D+ post on the generator. Then I use the DF(green) wire from the alternator to the DF post on the generator. The D-(brown) wire on the alternator becomes the ground on the generator. It will be best to replace the external Motorola regulator with the one for a generator.

The D+ feed will originate at the alternator or ECU but it is probably easier to pick it up from the domestic wiring. My CBE DS300 has a simulated D+ output which I use. Thanks for your reply.
