WebI don't have much advice since I have sort of the same problem of high pulse rate, but I think mine stems from anxiety since it's mostly good (around 80 throughout the treatment) and only high at the end. I do take 3.125 mg of Carvedilol 2x daily and I don't feel it drops my BP significantly compared to something like Lisinopril or Losartan.
