Webb4 apr. 2024 · Learning to Crawl by the Pretenders. For some reason, I missed this CD when it was first released in the 80s. I have recently heard "My City Was Gone", one of the songs on the CD, played on one of the stations that play older rock songs. The song says it all about urban renewal. I already had their import single, a cover of The Kinks, “Stop Your Sobbing” produced by Nick Lowe. I liked it ok, but it did not prepare me for Side 1 of The Pretenders self- titled album.
